Capabilities

Plastikon Industries offers injection tooling design and fabrication services utilizing 2D & 3D CAD mold designs, design for manufacturability, and complete engineering. We also provide rapid tooling, tooling progress reports (TPR), technical support, spare parts, gauge manufacturing, and a tooling Warranty of 1M shots or more. Tooling is finished to a high polish and can be produced for presses from 15 to 3,000 tons for injection molding or die cast parts. We produce molds for any production volume from a single cavity to high cavitation molds ranging in weight from 75 to 40,000 lbs. Molds are produced by EDM or high speed machining, all of which is closely monitored using our RJG Process Monitoring System.

At Plastikon Healthcare we provide custom blow molding and aseptic liquid fill contract manufacturing in a one-step process using BFS technology for a range of customers, in a variety of industries. Manufacturing is completed in our FDA registered, Class 10K or 100K cleanrooms. Plastikon operates in compliance with ISO 13485:2003, and ISO 9001:2008, and strictly follow the FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) per 21CFR 210-211 and Quality Management System per 21CFR-820. Plastikon Industries offers custom plastic thermoforming of packaging, inserts, and trays, for a range of industries. Our automated equipment allows us to offer high speed, high throughput, and manufacturing of parts up to 3” x 5”. We offer continuous, in-line, cut-sheet, pressure, and vacuum forming. Components can be produced from a variety of traditional materials including engineering films, twin sheet, and many organic-based films in varying wall thickness and gauges.

At Plastikon Industries, we provide rapid prototyping and product development services which include form studies, functional, visual, and proof of principle prototypes. We can create prototypes from 3D printing, flexible stereo lithography (SLA), and fused deposition modeling (FDM) as well as urethane casting and soft tooling methods. Our experienced design staff uses CATIA, Pro-E, UG, SolidWorks, and MoldFlow modeling programs to develop parts for functionality and manufacturability. We can assist customers throughout the product development process from prototype to production run including FMEA, statistical process, internal & supplier corrective action, and lot traceability reports.

At Plastikon Industries, we provide our customers with complete plastics engineering design services including modeling, product design, consulting, and project management. We can take an initial design or concept and perform design of experiments (DOE) and capability studies to improve the design quality and manufacturability. Our PMP certified project managers can then perform an FMEA to prevent any manufacturing, quality, or safety issues before production begins. Once the process hits the tooling stage, our engineers ensure precision tooling and molds are produced or existing tooling is evaluated and any repairs or improvements are made.
